Ukrainian tech companies are increasingly integrating into the U.S. economy, establishing local presence, professional networks, and long-term partnerships. Ukrinform’s article highlights the role of DroneUA and the expansion of Futurology in Pennsylvania as examples of this contribution.
According to a study by ISE Group and the Ukrainian-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry, businesses founded by Ukrainians or Ukrainian-origin entrepreneurs generate nearly $60 billion in annual revenue in the U.S. and support around 300,000 jobs. This demonstrates that Ukrainian entrepreneurship in the U.S. is no longer just part of the diaspora story — it has become a significant driver of economic growth.
Since 2023, DroneUA has scaled its operations to the American market, opening its own Futurology office in Pennsylvania. The company develops practical applications of agrodrones, robotics, and autonomous systems, works directly with American farmers, builds partnerships, and integrates Ukrainian technological expertise into the local market.
“Entering the U.S. market for us is not expansion in the traditional sense but a logical stage of growth. We invest in a local presence and operate as part of the American economy,” said Valerii Iakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA and Futurology, in a comment for Ukrinform.
The activities of DroneUA and Futurology exemplify a new model of Ukrainian tech entrepreneurship in the U.S.: from exporting solutions to local integration, building service infrastructure, creating added value, and developing partnerships on both sides of the Atlantic.
