On December 16, 2016, DroneUA took part in a business breakfast with Vice Prime Minister Ivanna Klimush-Tsintsadze, along with several Ukrainian exporting companies, as well as representatives of regional chambers of commerce and industry.
At the meeting, Ukrainian cooperation with the European Union, export opportunities, and problems of small and medium-sized businesses were discussed. According to the Vice Prime Minister, it is very important for the government to hear the advantages and disadvantages of the free trade agreement from entrepreneurs.
The agreement on a free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union has been in effect for almost a year now, and DroneUA were happy to share their experience.
«It is encouraging that innovative companies, including ours, have felt the support and desire to help with entering foreign markets; this kind of assistance in the development of our existing exports is very pleasing. The DroneUA team supports such initiatives and is ready to share its extensive experience with everyone in order to make it easier for businesses to exist in Ukraine» — says Valery Yakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA.
Currently in Ukraine there is an acute problem of exporting products and innovative technologies, among other things. This process is complicated by various licensing procedures for conducting such activities, and there are difficulties with the need for double certifications.
But despite this, Ukraine already has a number of positive examples of successful exports of products from small and medium-sized enterprises to European markets. Entrepreneurs can receive considerable, and sometimes basic, local support from regional branches of chambers of commerce and industry, so it is very important to hold meetings of this format and understand the state of affairs as a whole.
As a result of the meeting, we gained confidence and understanding of the government’s position on supporting Ukrainian exporters. Already at the beginning of 2017, we expect the first steps to simplify export issues and facilitate documentation.
