The field of artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming global markets, creating new opportunities for businesses and society while also posing a range of challenges related to ethics, safety, and regulatory frameworks. At this critical moment, establishing transparent and responsible approaches to AI use is essential for sustainable technological development, building user trust, and attracting international partnerships. Initiatives that lay the foundation for ethical AI usage are crucial for creating legislative frameworks and stimulating the country’s innovative potential.
This is why DroneUA, alongside 13 leading Ukrainian IT companies, has signed the Voluntary code of conduct on the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence. This step establishes a strong and reliable foundation for the long-term development of AI in Ukraine in line with international standards, ensuring citizen safety and unlocking new business opportunities.
It is worth noting that DroneUA had previously signed the Declaration on AI Self-Regulation, becoming one of the nine pioneering companies to support this initiative.
For DroneUA, signing the Voluntary code of conduct on the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence but also a reaffirmation of the company’s role as a leader in Ukraine’s technology market. Supporting such initiatives is a core part of DroneUA's mission: to create innovative solutions that meet the highest global standards while remaining safe and reliable for society.
This significant event not only marks a new level of responsible and secure use of innovative products by Ukrainian IT companies but also strengthens international trust in Ukrainian developments. This, in turn, enhances Ukraine's investment appeal and creates opportunities to attract funding for domestic startups.
Alongside DroneUA, the signatories of the Voluntary Code of Conduct for Ethical and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence include: Grammarly, MacPaw, LetsData, WINSTARS.AI, Gametree.me, YouScan.io, EVE.calls, Valtech, LUN, Bluebird, SoftServe, Uklon, Preply.
The initiative to establish the Voluntary Code of Conduct was launched by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law, and the AI Development Committee at the Ministry of Digital Transformation. More information about the Code and the principles of interaction between the state and businesses can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Digital Transformation: Безпека для мільйонів: українські IT-компанії встановили правила використання ШІ в інноваційних продуктах | Міністерство цифрової трансформації
The signing of the Voluntary Code of Conduct is a significant milestone for Ukraine's technological ecosystem. It demonstrates that Ukrainian businesses are ready to operate transparently and responsibly, contributing not only to national development but also enhancing Ukraine's positive image on the international stage. For DroneUA, this is yet another opportunity to join the global dialogue on ethical AI use, strengthen partner and customer trust, and ensure the safety of its technological solutions for end-users.
DroneUA will continue to implement advanced standards, fostering the creation of an ecosystem where innovation and ethics go hand in hand.
We extend our gratitude to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law, and the AI Development Committee at the Ministry of Digital Transformation for facilitating this vital initiative.
