On November 22, 2023, in the city of Glukhiv (Sumy region), a meeting took place between representatives of the International Group of Companies DroneUA and students and teachers of the Glukhiv Agrotechnical College of SNAU (Sumy National Agrarian University). During the event, representatives of DroneUA familiarized themselves with the capabilities of the educational institution, conducted a professional lecture, and also provided a practical demonstration of an agricultural drone.
Significant changes in Ukrainian educational institutions with an agricultural focus are gaining momentum. There is a clear trend in reforming educational programs in accordance with global trends in agriculture and the development vectors of the domestic agro-market. The most effective approach to these processes is the close interaction between the education sector and the business sector.
As a result, the form of dual education is becoming increasingly popular. It involves students receiving education in educational institutions with the attachment of theoretical knowledge and the preparation of future specialists by companies providing practical expertise. The teaching staff of the Glukhiv Agrotechnical College of SNAU, which actively cooperates with companies in the agricultural sector of Ukraine, has already seen the effectiveness of this practice. The educational institution with a 125-year history has experience working with brands and companies specializing in the sale of agricultural products, seeds, agricultural machinery, and more. The college tests various technologies and products on its own land, where grain, oilseed, and horticultural crops are grown.
Currently, the educational institution sees the potential in the adoption and application of resource-efficient robotics technology, which allows for cost savings while conducting all necessary agricultural operations on time and with high quality.
