Sunflower is a traditional crop for Ukrainian fields, giving the domestic agricultural market excellent expertise in cultivating this oilseed. Despite ongoing climatic and economic challenges, Ukraine remains a leader in sunflower cultivation and oil export in the global market.
Despite the high level of expertise in sunflower cultivation, increasing yields and reducing costs for agricultural operations are remaining pressing issues for Ukrainian farmers.
Optimal conditions for harvesting sunflowers are when seed moisture is between 9-11%. However, arid weather conditions or rainy seasons cause uneven seed ripening, which leads to yield losses and reduced profitability.
Applying desiccants helps accelerate seed maturation and makes the process more uniform, reducing losses during harvest and reaping costs for the enterprise. The use of agricultural drones allows for precise and efficient distribution of substances, ensuring optimal field coverage and resulting in an additional yield increase of about 5% due to the absence of technological tracks.
