Since the beginning of 2016, a new European enterprise UAV.tools, founded by partners from Ukraine, began its work (Drone.UA) and Latvia, the process of creating the company was initiated in May 2015. The company was founded on the basis of the enterprises Rigas Dronu Fabrika and Aerial Production Services. Thus, it provided itself with an existing client base and the necessary personnel for its work.
In the new market, the concept of providing services and solutions has not changed. As in Ukraine, the main processes are formed around the corporate segment, and in particular, the spheres of agriculture, geodesy/topography, mining industry, etc.
The task of the joint venture – development of new, as well as adaptation of existing Ukrainian solutions for local markets, their sales and maintenance. One of the advantages of UAV.Tools is the ability to use available Ukrainian R&D and IT resources, which allows you to positively stand out among competitors in the European market.
A separate task is to popularize peaceful unmanned technologies in the Baltic countries.
Currently, UAV.tools already provides services and cooperates with the companies “Metrum”, “Binders”, “Getliņi EKO”, the largest regional enterprises working in the fields of geodesy and cadastral work, road construction and waste disposal, as well as other enterprises and government agencies.
The production capacity of the European enterprise allows for the assembly of drones, including the popular PD1900 platforms for Agro monitoring or scanning of large area objects, as well as providing technical and service maintenance for drones. The current service capabilities of UAV.tools for scanning area objects amount to more than 2000 hectares/day.
The strategic objectives of UAV.tools services in 2016 are to expand the scope of the enterprise’s activities in the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, in the future – active participation in the markets of central and western Europe.
