DroneUA performed the first systematic work in Ukraine on the inspection of wind power plant capacities. The total capacity of renewable energy stations that were inspected exceeded 100 MW. A survey was carried out using drones for further technical analysis with the help of innovative software products.
DroneUA was the first in Ukraine to make such a flight. In total, the pilot service of the company inspected more than 20 stations.
Today, inspections of wind farms are extremely important, which is due to the high cost of repairing turbines and financial losses as a result of downtime. The use of drones in the inspection of wind power plants provides an opportunity to make a regular inspection of wind generators with minimal costs. Drones help reduce the time it takes to find corrosion spots on wind turbine blades and support structures and prevent major accidents, thus reducing the cost of operating wind turbines. The drone can lift several payloads into the air, for example, a camera or a thermal imager, which gives the operator the opportunity to obtain the most clear and detailed images.
In addition, the use of drones minimizes the human factor, which makes inspections as safe as possible for workers. Drone inspection is also a faster and more efficient way compared to traditional methods.
DroneUA expert Oleksandr Mishchenko used the innovative Matrice 300 equipment from DroneUA and visual sensors to collect all the necessary information for a comprehensive assessment of the condition of wind farms.
DroneUA has its own staff of UAV operators with the most innovative technical support, which makes it possible to perform project tasks for customers in various industries.
Matrice 300 is a commercial platform with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, equipped with a detection and positioning system in 6 directions. Automatic switching between 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequencies increases flight reliability in areas with strong interference, and the AES-256 encryption algorithm allows for secure data transmission. The platform and power plant with improved characteristics increase the efficiency and stability of the flight even in harsh conditions. The flight time of the drone is up to 55 minutes, which is enough for the inspection.
