Ukraine holds a leading position in the world in integrating unmanned technologies across various industries, from agriculture to logistics and energy, showcasing a high level of expertise and innovation. Domestic companies, research institutes, and startups not only implement advanced solutions in the domestic market but also actively enter the international arena, gaining recognition in leading industries. Thanks to significant achievements in the development of drones, robotics, and automated systems, Ukrainian specialists are setting new standards for quality and efficiency. As a market leader in the implementation of unmanned technologies in strategically important sectors in Ukraine, DroneUA participated in the educational festival FamilyFest, held on June 22, 2024, at the American Helicopter Museum and Educational Center in Pennsylvania, USA, where it presented Ukrainian experience and the latest achievements in the field of unmanned technologies. This educational and entertaining event was an important step in showcasing the company's expertise in unmanned technologies, its development in both Ukrainian and international markets, and fostering connections between Ukraine and the USA.
“Today’s event has been a valuable occasion for demonstrating the latest technologies both to aviation industry professionals, who attended with their families, and to the younger generation, who are just now choosing their future paths. Engineering and engineering education, robotics, and the opportunities for new professions that allow saving labor resources, increasing efficiency, and optimizing processes with less human and time resources are the foundation of a sustainable future for countries. The event emphasized that everything happening around us is aimed at increasing the efficiency of production and the work of entire industries. STEM has become an important area of education for every country, and it is given particular attention in the USA. Engineering as a field of development is one of the most critical when it comes to the professions of the future,” - said Valerii Iakovenko, CEO and managing partner of DroneUA.
Over the past 2.5 years, Ukraine has achieved the seemingly impossible by creating its own industry for manufacturing robotic tools, devices, and an entire ecosystem of modern robotics from scratch. Despite the traditionally high level of Ukrainian engineers and education, it was practical approaches that allowed for the creation of ready-to-market products and their mass production in the millions.
"The number of inquiries regarding the possibility of relocating or transferring this experience, which is already working to protect Ukraine not only in the domestic market but also in the European one, is overwhelming. This will help reduce dependence on imported component bases and create new opportunities for collaboration in building production chains, testing, and adapting technologies that are already spreading worldwide and were first introduced in Ukraine," - emphasized Valerii Iakovenko.
The product lines presented at this exhibition covered two main areas. The first is the distribution and integration of high-tech solutions that make various industries more efficient, including the distribution of Ukrainian products. The second, extremely important area is the building of production chains and the search for opportunities to localize the component base so that other industry representatives can use locally produced components in the USA, created based on Ukrainian designs. Both areas were successful today.
"Participating in such events is an element of technological diplomacy. When engineers and entrepreneurs become promoters of Ukraine on the global stage, they show the world that Ukraine is not just a market experiencing difficult times and overcoming obstacles but also a country with great potential in mastering cutting-edge technologies. The speed of adaptation by Ukrainian engineers, entrepreneurs, and the state as a whole is an example for the entire world. Overcoming paths in a matter of months that other countries take decades to traverse, Ukraine demonstrates unique opportunities for expanding its capabilities and forming partnerships. Partnerships are extremely important because, despite the high-quality human potential and creativity in creating new products, Ukraine needs financial support and access to certain technological solutions available from partners. This is a mutual exchange of experience, technologies, and solutions," - concluded Valerii Iakovenko, CEO and managing partner of DroneUA.
Today's event took place at the museum, which also serves as an educational center. Educational institutions are some of the primary and most important stakeholders in business development in the United States. A significant portion of various initiatives is created through collaboration with academic institutions and educational initiatives. Most of the innovations that appear and spread through the US economy arise from cooperation with the academic community.
Collaboration between Ukraine and the USA, utilizing educational programs and locations, will allow for faster dissemination of innovations, foster the formation of higher-quality connections, and help find key partners through educational initiatives. The adaptation of cutting-edge technologies begins with education, and education starts with educational institutions and students.
In this autumn DroneUA plans to conduct several training programs, including the use of robotics in agriculture and the operation of various drones and unmanned device ecosystems. This will vividly demonstrate the true value of the engineering profession, showing that anyone can choose this field regardless of age, gender, or previous experience.
