The use of unmanned technologies in agriculture is not only a global trend but also a necessity among agricultural producers striving to achieve results and scale up. Experience sharing based on scientific research and practical use of robotics becomes the foundation for effective drone technology utilization, creating opportunities for industry development and strengthening food security worldwide. With
expertise recognized on the international stage, DroneUA will participate in the aviation conference The Aerium Summit, which will be held on May 28-30, 2024, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA.
DroneUA will have the honor of sharing the stage with Austin Davis, Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania, and the leadership of Lockheed Martin, one of the leading companies in the aerospace, aviation, and shipbuilding industries. This event will be a significant moment not only for the USA but also for Ukraine and the entire world, as DroneUA lays the foundation for strategically important cooperation with industry leaders who have a global impact on the development of aerospace technologies.
During the panel discussion, Valerii Yakovenko, CEO and managing partner of DroneUA, chairman of the agricultural committee of the Pennsylvania Drone Association, will reveal the secrets of using drone technology in agriculture to ensure sustainable development. DroneUA will share its international experience and its contribution to the FAO UN program, which serves as a qualitative foundation for the transformation of the global agricultural sector through the application of aerial and ground robotics within new powerful collaborations.
Today, DroneUA is scaling its activities to the US market. One of the significant milestones is the opening of the first office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where DroneUA has introduced the innovative FarmFleet project, a specialized SaaS platform focused on agrodrone spraying and providing agricultural services.
The discussion on transformations, the potential of unmanned technologies, and the enhancement of efficiency and yield in Pennsylvania's agricultural practice will also involve:
- John G Duesler Jr is the President of the PA Drone Association;
- Shirin Ghatrehsamani, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Pennsylvania State University;
- Caleb Swartz is a farmer, agriculturalist, drone enthusiast and innovator based in Bloomsburg, PA
- Nicholas P. Metlock, Inspector of the Flight Standards Office Safety Standards.
Experts will cover the regulatory framework, highlight the practical application of unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture, particularly spraying drones, share cases of agricultural production optimization through drones, and discuss safety issues in the agricultural sector.
For the second consecutive year, the summit serves as a platform for exploring aviation technologies, innovative opportunities, and idea exchange among experts, scientists, businessmen, and students, bringing together like-minded individuals for industry development.
