At the end of May, the DroneUA group of companies ("DIGI FLY" LLC) and the USAID Program for Agrarian and Rural Development - AGRO, implemented by the Chemonics International company, resumed work within the framework of the large-scale Project on the popularization and use of unmanned and robotic technologies.
We have now completed one of the next stages of the program and are ready to share the first successful results. During June, we actively worked with farmers from different regions, carried out the introduction of seasonal pesticides and fertilizers by air and ground drones.
To date, 35 Ukrainian agricultural producers have already joined the Project, familiarized themselves with the advanced technologies of ultra-low-volume application of pesticides and checked how it works in the fields on specific crops and with specific drugs. Feedback from participants once again confirms: drones save water, PPE and fuel, which is especially relevant this year due to a significant shortage.
Work within the framework of the Project was carried out in various regions of Ukraine, in particular in Ternopil, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Zhytomyr, and Rivne regions. The season is still in its active phase, new technologies capable of increasing the efficiency of agricultural production are of considerable interest to farmers, so the team continues to implement new stages of the Project and plans to carry out new tasks.
There are 1.5 extremely active months ahead, when we can clearly prove the cost-effectiveness of using drones, provide informational support and make innovations even more accessible and closer to Ukrainian agricultural producers.
We invite agrarians who want to be convinced of the effectiveness of application of pesticides by spraying drones in their fields to join the Project. To do this, fill out the application at the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1yiepQqjuA856pphT6fhacNVLXHuMeA2GOL8d3qT6x2k
