DroneUA’s participation in this year’s Ukrainian Investment Roadshow, held on December 9, 2025, in London, became one of the central highlights in the discussion on how Ukrainian technology companies are shaping industrial development during a period of critical challenges. For the international audience of investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners from more than fifteen countries, it was an example of a technology business that not only demonstrates resilience but also builds a new model of production, engineering, and global presence.
At the center of the Roadshow was DroneUA’s practical experience, presented by co-founder and managing partner Valerii Iakovenko. As an expert with hands-on experience working with technological ecosystems and international markets, he presented an approach based on proven operational models: multi-regional production processes, synchronized R&D operations in Ukraine and abroad, technical standardization, commercial applications of robotics, and a service infrastructure that ensures the scalability of technological solutions at a global level.

During the panel discussion “Case Studies of Successful Ongoing Wartime Investments and Innovation,” Valerii Iakovenko presented DroneUA’s practical experience in scaling, including the development of its production base, engineering competencies, and the implementation of new technologies. He emphasized that investment, the development of export directions, and the formation of production infrastructure are key factors of economic resilience, and that systematic communication between Ukrainian businesses and international investors makes it possible to transform these factors into concrete projects and new market opportunities.

“A long-term development model for the unmanned systems industry is possible only when commercial application sectors are at its foundation. It is the civilian segments — agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, energy, and first responders — that ensure the stable functioning of the market. This is where technologies deliver measurable economic impact, provide scalability of production processes, and maintain investment attractiveness regardless of external risks,” notes Valerii Iakovenko.
The discussion also brought together representatives of institutions and companies that today shape Ukraine’s investment and economic dynamics, including in international markets:
-
Maryna Khlystun, Chief Executive Officer;
-
UkraineInvest Vadym Burukin, Director;
-
Huless Yuriy Sorochynskyi, Chief Executive Officer, Nemiroff;
-
Sergiy Yevtushenko, Managing Partner, UDP;
-
Renewables Otto Waterlander, Founder, Hydrogen Partners;
-
Olga Hamama, Special Counsel, Clifford Chance (co-moderator);
-
Yaroslav Petrov, Partner, Asters (co-moderator).

The case presented by DroneUA drew the attention of Roadshow participants due to its ability to operate as an integrated engineering and production ecosystem, rather than through individual products alone. It refers to a clear organization of processes, technological standardization, operational predictability, and the readiness to quickly adapt solutions to the requirements of different markets.
“On October 10, 2022, we received 17,000 requests in a single day — from people looking for autonomous solutions during blackouts. Today, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families have energy thanks to our solutions. This is a direct example of how technology shapes a country’s resilience in crisis conditions,” emphasized Iakovenko.

The development of DroneUA’s production and staffing capabilities in the United States was highlighted separately. The company is creating new jobs in the northeastern part of the country, forming a modern technological segment at the intersection of the agricultural sector and high technology. This makes it possible to simultaneously expand its presence in the American market and integrate Ukrainian engineering expertise into a region with high demand for innovative agrotechnological solutions.

Participation in the Ukrainian Investment Roadshow demonstrated that Ukrainian technology companies can shape a new industrial logic even during periods of deep transformation. The combination of production, engineering, international presence, and the development of specialized teams creates the foundation for solutions that remain competitive at the global level.
DroneUA expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the Ukrainian Investment Roadshow - Strategy Council, the discussion participants, international partners, and the law firm Clifford Chance, which traditionally hosts the event at its venue. It is an honor to have the opportunity to present the practical experience of a Ukrainian technology company and to contribute to shaping the investment dialogue that holds strategic significance for the country’s development.
The event was held with the official support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom.
