The Aeroscope drone tracking system from DroneUA was installed on the territory of the Kyiv heliport KyivChallenge. The installed system became the first security system at Ukrainian airports.
Under conditions of quarantine and restrictions in the operation of regular aviation, heliports remain a busy part of the transport infrastructure that requires security.
DroneUA equipment allows you to track up to 90% of consumer and industrial drones. During tests of the installed equipment, the detection radius of drones was confirmed to be up to 14.5 km around the heliport area in line-of-sight conditions.
Aeroscope from DroneUA identifies all available drones in the air, collecting information about coordinates and routes, coordinates of take-off points and tracks the coordinates of remote pilots controlling the UAV, as well as data on the altitudes used. The security system records the models of equipment used and serial numbers of devices.
The installed system is part of a pilot project for monitoring the use of airspace and is designed to ensure safety in the UKIH RPAS-P zone and UKP24, which affects Pechersky, Goloseevsky, Darnytsky and Dnieper districts.
In the coverage area, drone flight activity will be monitored, and information will be collected on violations of altitude restrictions on the use of airspace. Access to the collected data is provided to the administration of the KyivChallenge heliport; statistical information will be provided to representatives of the state aviation service, as well as representatives of the National Police of Ukraine.
Remote pilots and drone operators are asked to comply with airspace regulations and not exceed permitted flight altitudes of 50 to 120 meters depending on location.
Flights within the restricted area are subject to agreement with the administrations of the relevant zones.
