On 15 January, Kyiv hosted Ukraine’s first presentation of the RugOne brand, which operates in the rugged mobile device segment — a category that in recent years has evolved from a niche solution into a fully fledged tool for professional use. The growing number of field, engineering, and industrial scenarios in which standard smartphones lose stability and reliability is driving demand for a dedicated class of mobile solutions designed for harsh operating conditions.
Two flagship models from the lineup — the Xever 7 and Xever 7 Pro — were introduced to the Ukrainian market.
The presentation was held in a hands-on demonstration format. In the presence of guests and technology influencers, RugOne smartphones underwent public testing, including impact resistance, water resistance, and stable operation underwater. This format allowed for a clear demonstration that the declared specifications align with real-world operating conditions — a critical factor for professional-grade devices.
Robotics Distribution, one of Ukraine’s top 10 IT distributors and part of the DroneUA group of companies, is the exclusive distributor of RugOne in Ukraine. The brand’s official international debut took place in autumn 2025 at the IFA technology exhibition in Berlin, where RugOne unveiled two flagship models — Xever 7 and Xever 7 Pro — positioning them as a new generation of rugged smartphones focused on practical, real-world use.
“RugOne was created as a tool for scenarios in which a mobile device must remain operational regardless of the environment. It’s not only about physical protection, but also about stability, touch responsiveness, and the functionality required for professional tasks — from outdoor activities to technical and engineering work,” said Serhii Silin, RugOne Ukraine Brand Manager, during the presentation in Kyiv.
The presentation was held with the support of Robotics Distribution’s partner, the Citrus retail chain.

The event brought together representatives of the tech community and influencers, who witnessed a demonstration of a new approach to the rugged smartphone segment. During testing, the Xever 7 and Xever 7 Pro withstood localized mechanical stress and water exposure, confirming the structural integrity and water resistance of the casing in line with the stated engineering specifications.
From an engineering perspective, RugOne smartphones belong to the class of professional rugged mobile devices. The chassis is constructed from a combination of impact-resistant polymer and metal elements, providing high structural rigidity without excessive weight. The devices weigh 325 g, which is a well-balanced figure for this segment and allows for comfortable long-term use. The included protective glass features enhanced scratch resistance and is designed to withstand intensive, everyday operation.
RugOne smartphones are certified to IP68 and IP69K standards and comply with the MIL-STD-810H military specification. This confirms the devices’ resistance to immersion in water up to 2 metres for 30 minutes, as well as to vibration, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stress — conditions typical of industrial, construction, and field environments, where device failure can result in operational downtime.
The functionality of the Xever 7 and Xever 7 Pro extends beyond basic user scenarios. The smartphones are equipped with cameras featuring advanced stabilisation algorithms, while the Pro version includes thermal imaging capabilities, enabling additional use cases — from technical diagnostics and night surveillance to engineering monitoring and search-and-rescue operations. Artificial intelligence tools are integrated as auxiliary features to support visual data processing and assist specialists in construction, geodesy, and related industries.
“Today, durability no longer comes at the expense of functionality. Rugged devices must meet the same requirements for cameras, sensors, and computing performance as conventional smartphones — while operating in environments where other solutions fail,” added Sergey Silin.
The participants of the presentation were the first in Ukraine to test RugOne smartphones in real-world scenarios and received special promo codes for purchasing models from the Xever 7 lineup. Among the event’s guests, the RugOne team also held a raffle for a Xever 7 Pro smartphone.
The arrival of the RugOne brand on the Ukrainian market expands the segment of professional rugged mobile solutions, offering users a tool tailored to the modern demands of field and technical environments.
