Modern Ukrainian agriculture holds strong positions in the active integration of precision farming models, where agrodone technologies play a key role. Amid rising production costs, labor shortages, and tightening environmental and regulatory requirements, agrodrones are becoming not only an innovative but also an economically justified tool for farms of various scales.
In this context, a training and practical seminar titled “Application of agrodrones in crop production in Ukraine: prospects and economic benefits for farming enterprises” was held at Uman National University of Horticulture, organized by the Department of Crop Production of the Faculty of Agronomy.
The seminar brought together representatives of the scientific community, agribusiness, financial institutions, and regional agricultural producers interested in implementing modern spraying technologies, crop protection application, and optimization of agricultural processes using agrodrones. The main goal of the event was to familiarize participants with the technological capabilities of agrodone solutions, analyze their economic feasibility, and form a practical understanding of ways to integrate these technologies into farming operations.
As part of the seminar, Anatolii Bezoliuk, Head of the Agricultural Direction at DroneUA, shared the company’s experience, focusing in detail on the practical aspects of implementing agrodone technologies in modern agriculture. In particular, use cases of agrodrones for applying crop protection products, biological preparations, and attractants were discussed, as well as the possibilities of using unmanned systems in land reclamation and restoration processes.
With many years of expertise in implementing unmanned solutions in agriculture, DroneUA has hands-on experience integrating drone technologies across the entire agricultural production cycle — from technological consulting and solution selection to personnel training and operational support for farms. This approach allows farmers not only to implement innovations but also to achieve measurable economic results.
“An agrodone is not a standalone tool, but the foundation of a systemic approach to modern agribusiness. Its effectiveness becomes evident when the technology is integrated into production processes with consideration of the crop, growth stage, field conditions, and the farm’s economic model. This approach makes it possible to reduce costs, increase operational precision, and significantly boost yields,” noted Anatolii Bezoliuk.
