The first insurance products for drones have been launched in Ukraine. The insurance company "GUARDIAN", in collaboration with Drone.UA, has developed and launched a new insurance product "DRON", which includes insurance for liability and losses in situations involving drones.
Insurance programs include liability insurance for the enterprise for the use of drones, the operator for the enterprise for losses caused by drones, and the operator for losses caused directly to the drones.
These are the first products in Ukraine specifically designed for the needs of the unmanned aircraft market.

Drone Program - A
Responsibility of the Enterprise to third parties for the use of drones.
An insured risk is an event for which insurance is carried out and which has signs of probability and randomness of occurrence, as a result of which unintentional harm may be caused to the life, health and / or property of third parties during the implementation of the insured activity of the Insured.
This program provides coverage for losses in the amount of UAH 1,000,000. This product is intended for corporate clients who want to secure the process of using drones in their enterprises. The deductible is 2% of the limit of liability for damage caused to the property of third parties for each and any insured event.
The cost of the policy is UAH 12,000.00, the insurance period is 1 year. Coverage area - Ukraine
Drone Program - B
The Operator's liability to the Enterprise for losses caused to drones.
An insured risk is an event for which insurance is carried out and which has signs of probability and chance of occurrence, as a result of which unintentional damage to the property of the enterprise (drone) may be caused.
This program provides coverage for the cost of damaged drones in cases where they are used to perform work tasks and are owned by the company and not the UAV operator. The product is suitable for liability insurance for employees of enterprises and operators who use rental equipment.
Depending on the amount of coverage, the cost of the policy varies from 1500 to 8000 UAH, the deductible is 5%. Coverage area - Ukraine

This product is intended for absolutely every drone operator and insures liability to third parties against damage that the drone may cause. This is the most popular product, an analogue of the automobile “Autocitizen”. The policy provides coverage for damage in the amount of up to 100,000 UAH during the year with a 5% deductible and a policy cost of 1,500 UAH. Coverage area - Ukraine
The main condition of insurance programs is the legal use of drones, in accordance with the rules of airspace operation.
Insurance policies under the Drone programs will be available to DroneUA clients, as well as in the DroneUA and Smart Trading dealer networks.
At the same time, in addition to insurance products from the GARDIAN company, the DroneUA assortment also includes special service programs for owners of drones DJI Care (consumer segment of drones) and DJI Shield (industrial equipment), which are purchased separately and allow you to make up to two replacements of the copter in case of failure. damage (regardless of degree) due to the fault of the pilot.
These programs are not mutually exclusive and can be used simultaneously, providing maximum protection for liability to third parties and losses from possible damage to unmanned equipment.
