As part of the active development of the partnership between DroneUA and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP), a training lecture was held on April 8, 2026, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology into agriculture and preparing future leaders of the agricultural sector.

DroneUA is not only implementing advanced agricultural solutions but also actively engaging young people in the agri-sector by collaborating with leading educational institutions in the country. This event became part of the company's global strategy for the professional development of young specialists who will be able to apply innovative technologies in the real economy sector effectively in the future.

Students from three faculties of NUBiP — the Agro-Biological Faculty, the Faculty of Plant Protection, Biotechnology, and Ecology, as well as the Faculty of Information Technologies — had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with key precision agriculture tools, including Pix4Dfields and modern drone solutions. Speakers from DroneUA demonstrated how these tools can transform approaches to farm management and become a powerful mechanism in the hands of the new generation of agronomists and technology specialists.

Digitalization of the Agri-Sector: From Theory to Practice

Anatolii Bezoliuk, Head of the Agricultural Division at DroneUA, is an expert in the use of agricultural drones for farming needs. During the lecture, he focused on the importance of agricultural drones enabling crop yield forecasting and optimization of expenses on fertilizers and plant protection products (PPP).

The specialist paid particular attention to the capabilities of RGB, multispectral sensors, and thermal cameras that help agronomists detect plant stress, water deficiency, and biomass. Thanks to agricultural drones, problematic areas in fields can be identified with high precision at early stages, allowing timely action to be taken. The expert also emphasized the importance of properly configured drone missions, ensuring that the collected data can be used to make well-informed and prompt decisions that directly impact the efficiency of agricultural businesses.

In-depth Understanding of Data Handling: The Role of Pix4Dfields in Modern Agribusiness

Hlib Lisovyi, Head of the GIS and Surveying Department at DroneUA, shared practical experience working with spatial data using Pix4Dfields software. The specialist highlighted that one of the key aspects of working in the agri-sector is not only data collection but also its processing and analysis to create accurate orthophotomaps, which are essential for effective farm management.

Specifically, DroneUA specialists have successfully implemented over 400,000 hectares of orthophotomaps, which represent just a part of the company’s applied expertise in the remote sensing and precision agriculture field. The generated orthophotomaps have become the foundation for assessing the condition of crops in Ukrainian farms, identifying problematic areas, and planning well-founded agrotechnical operations.

Multispectral remote sensing, actively used by DroneUA experts, provides crucial information inaccessible with traditional data collection methods. Hlib Lisovyi explained in detail how drones with multispectral sensors help capture biomass, plant stress, and water deficiency — all of which are critical for timely response and correction of agrotechnical processes.

An important aspect is also the proper planning of drone flights to ensure the necessary overlap between images, which impacts the accuracy of the obtained data. Specifically, for multispectral sensors, 85% frontal overlap is recommended, which ensures the creation of high-quality orthophotomaps and index maps, including NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and NDRE (Normalized Difference Red-Edge), which are used to make well-informed decisions on fertilizer and pesticide application.

The expert also emphasized the importance of integrating Pix4Dfields with agricultural robotics. The created maps can be directly transferred to agricultural drones, tractors, and field sprayers for differential fertilizer application, which helps save resources and increase the efficiency of agricultural operations.

Another advantage of Pix4Dfields is its ability to operate offline, allowing data analysis in field conditions where network access may be limited. This enables agronomists and drone operators to work autonomously, obtaining all the necessary tools for data processing and analysis without delays.

Shaping Future Leaders of the Agri-Sector: Career Opportunities for Young Professionals

Ivan Hryhorovych, Head of the Personnel Department at DroneUA, emphasized that the labor market in the agri-sector requires not only theoretical knowledge but also real skills in working with modern technologies. The expert shared with students how GIS technologies, drones, and other innovative tools they are studying can become the foundation for their careers in agribusiness.

Today, agriculture is increasingly focused on digital tools, data analytics, and process automation. In order to remain competitive, young specialists must not only master these technologies but also actively work with them "in the field."

The expert paid special attention to the fact that DroneUA is actively working on the development of young talents, creating opportunities for their professional growth through systematic knowledge transfer in lectures, training sessions, practical conferences, and internships. The company collaborates with more than 20 educational institutions across Ukraine, including universities and vocational-technical schools.

DroneUA creates opportunities for young professionals to gain experience in one of the most promising industries, which lies at the intersection of technology and agriculture. Ivan Hryhorovych noted that the company is constantly looking for young talents for internships and further employment, which is part of its strategy — to shape the future leaders of the industry who will be able to use the latest technologies to solve real problems and build innovative infrastructure in Ukraine's agri-sector.

During the open discussion, students asked questions, inquired about the possibility of internships at DroneUA, and discussed the potential use of cutting-edge technologies in their research projects. This once again highlights the strategic role of the company not only in the technologization of the industry but also in the development of human capital, particularly in the agri-sector.
