For many years, DroneUA has been actively implementing unmanned technologies in the field of geodesy, forming new approaches to the use of drones and opening up more opportunities for accurate measurements and data collection even in the most difficult conditions.
Continuing to strengthen its leadership position, DroneUA took part in the XXVIII Geoforum 2025 scientific and technical conference organised by the Western Geodetic Society of the Ukrainian Society of Geodesy and Cartography in Lviv.
Every year, the largest event in Ukraine brings together prominent representatives of the scientific community, namely specialists in geodesy, cartography, geology, photogrammetry, as well as business representatives, manufacturers of surveying equipment and software.
With many years of expertise in photogrammetry and data processing, the company's specialists presented modern technologies for geospatial solutions based on unmanned aerial vehicles, including the use of drones for aerial photography, LiDAR scanning and 3D terrain modelling, and shared their experience in applying software solutions from the Swiss partner PIX4D.
In particular, Hlib Lisovii, Head of GIS and Geodesy at DroneUA, spoke at a masterclass on laser scanning data processing by our partner ELNaV, where he demonstrated the efficiency of data processing in PIX4Dsurvey software in real time.
One of the main advantages of PIX4Dsurvey is the ability to automatically select objects from a point cloud generated by laser scanning or photogrammetry. This significantly reduces processing time, allowing specialists to focus on analytics rather than routine vectorisation.
At the same time, the event focused on the new opportunities that drones open up for surveying: from creating digital terrain models to detecting small changes in the terrain and monitoring infrastructure. The event also focused on the use of drones for topographic surveys, which can significantly reduce time and resources while maintaining high accuracy.
Thanks to many years of involvement in the development of geodetic technologies, the use of drones for precise measurements, and high-precision data processing methods, DroneUA has become a reliable partner in the largest projects implemented in Ukraine for the first time.
Participation in Geoforum 2025 is another step in strengthening our expertise and setting a new level of standards that combines technology, intelligent solutions and professionalism.
DroneUA thanks all colleagues, partners, and organisers for a great event and substantive communication!
