In recent years, the Ukrainian drone technology market has made a significant qualitative leap in development, demonstrating the indispensability of the acquired experience and the uncompromising nature of its technological base, which has gained recognition worldwide. It is private companies that have become the main driving force behind the growth of the Ukrainian drone manufacturing segment.
Thus, the global drone industry is actively preparing for the 10th anniversary of the large-scale exhibition - Commercial UAV Expo 2024, which takes place on September 3-5 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas (USA). The event is intended to be the main platform for demonstrating commercial and civil unmanned aerial systems technologies in North America.
Last year, when attending the Commercial UAV Expo, DroneUA was inspired by the idea of presenting Ukrainian technologies in the American market. At that time, Ukrainian companies that created the latest solutions and form new ecosystems had significant potential for a worthy representation on the global stage. Therefore, as a leader in integrated solutions for agriculture, infrastructure, and energy, as well as a disruptor of industry operations, DroneUA, in partnership with local engineers and entrepreneurs, is creating a Ukrainian pavilion that will be a prominent feature of this year's exhibition.
In particular, the powerful Ukrainian potential will be represented to the world by leading Ukrainian companies in the field of unmanned technologies and innovations, namely:
- Futurology: The American subsidiary of DroneUA which implements innovations at the intersection of technology and future trends, redefining the possibilities of drones and robotics.
- Piranha-Tech: Develops and manufactures electronic warfare systems for drones/UAVs. Their products are used in more than 20 countries to protect the leaders of the UAE and Qatar, as well as police institutions in South America, Canada, Italy, Vietnam, and others.
- Bavovna:Specializes in hybrid navigation based on artificial intelligence for unmanned aerial, ground, and subsurface drones in environments where GPS is unavailable or inaccessible.
- Radiobird: Develops multipurpose all-weather VTOL UAVs with situational awareness and security functions and intelligent radar systems for electronic monitoring of air and ground traffic.
- Kara Dag:Innovators in drone detection and protection, developing AI-based drone detectors to improve security and privacy.
- BOXO: is a provider of comprehensive solutions for equipping flexible workplaces and transport cases so as to perform logistics in the agricultural, medical, industrial industries, and in music field as well
The pioneering companies will demonstrate their developments and share their revolutionary achievements with the global audience. Thanks to the ability to implement advanced control, automation, and analytics systems, which significantly increase the efficiency and accuracy of work in various industries, and a wide range of applications of unmanned solutions - from the agricultural sector to security and infrastructure - Ukrainian developments are in demand worldwide.
Currently, the Ukrainian drone technology market consists of both state-owned enterprises and commercial companies. About 200 companies are actively working on the creation of drone technologies and component bases. In total, the market has more than 700 different enterprises engaged in the development and implementation of technologies in this field, indicating a segmented and, most importantly, multidisciplinary market with a cluster of interconnected players.
In this regard, the events within the Ukrainian pavilion are going to include a roundtable discussion on agricultural drones organized by John Deere and DroneUA, as well as a panel discussion “A fleet of millions: Ukrainian insights into the mass production of drones”.
The Ukrainian pavilion is an initiative led by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and supported by government and commercial entities, aimed at introducing Ukrainian innovations and sharing practical experience in the process of Ukraine's reconstruction and rebuilding. Highlighting applications in building, energy, infrastructure, and agriculture, the pavilion is to emphasize the significant impact of technology on the country's economic recovery and development.
At the Commercial UAV Expo, participants in the Ukrainian pavilion will act as ambassadors and technological diplomats, representing Ukraine's technology ecosystem together with the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco. This initiative will be a prominent event, clearly showcasing Ukraine's leadership in the field of UAV robotics. DroneUA expresses gratitude to all representatives of the Ukrainian pavilion for their significant contribution to the promotion of domestic technologies and for representing the country on the global business stage. For this reason, we invite other engineering companies to join the development of the industry alongside the market leaders in drone technologies by visiting the Ukrainian Innovations Pavilion in Las Vegas.
