Robotics Distribution, one of the top 10 IT distributors in Ukraine and part of the DroneUA group of companies, and the exclusive distributor of the EcoFlow brand, held the third Energy Forum-Presentation, ‘EcoFlow Energy DAY 2024: Leader of Ukraine's Energy Independence’, which took place on 16 October as part of the International Exhibition ECOENERGY EXPO 2024 in Kyiv.

For three consecutive years, the EcoFlow brand has been leading the market of energy-independent technologies in Ukraine, creating opportunities for energy independence for Ukrainian families, businesses, strategically important enterprises, and critical sectors of the economy, despite the current challenges. Therefore, the transformation of the Ukrainian energy market, with a focus on the energy security of Ukrainians, became the central topic of expert discussions at the event.

Thus, EcoFlow Energy DAY 2024 became the largest energy event of the year, combining professional discussions on finding solutions to overcome energy challenges, presentations of EcoFlow's global innovations, and rewarding partner companies for their high-quality and fruitful cooperation and active participation in integrating the brand's solutions into the domestic energy sector and the lives of users. In synergy, experts explored strategies for strengthening the Ukrainian energy system and how to implement them in the current energy environment.

The event began with a speech by EcoFlow Ukraine brand manager Serhii Silin, who emphasised Ukraine's leadership in implementing energy independence approaches:

“In 2023, the global growth rate of the EcoFlow brand was 450%. Even though the EcoFlow brand is present in more than 100 countries, Ukraine has become a leader in the development of the portable energy market in Europe. This demonstrates the conscious approach of Ukrainians to their own energy autonomy.”

The panel discussion was opened by Stanislav Ignatiev, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association, who spoke about the current state of the Ukrainian energy system:

“Ukraine is currently facing a number of serious challenges. As of today, the country has lost 42% of its power generation, which is an irrecoverable loss for the next 10 years. Thermal generation will not be restored at all due to a lack of funds—the cost is twice the annual budget of Ukraine as of February 22, 2022. Consequently, when winter comes, solar power plants will be able to generate only 20% of their capacity, so it is especially important to take care of backup power in your own homes. The electricity deficit in winter 2024–2025 will be up to 2.5 GW, which is a significant figure.”

Continuing the discussion, Oleksiy Parkhomenko, Head of Alternative Energy at Storgom, shared his experience in developing the backup power market in Ukraine:

‘For three years, Ukrainians have been realizing the feasibility of using energy-independent solutions and integrating them into everyday life. In 2021, we sold only one charging station per week, but in 2023 this figure reached hundreds of stations per month. Users have realized that a charging station is not just a power bank but a turnkey solution that ensures energy self-sufficiency anywhere and anytime. By embarking on the path to energy independence, each of us can help not only ourselves but also the country by reducing electricity consumption from the centralized grid.’"

Svitlana Tarabarova, a Ukrainian singer, composer, and songwriter, and EcoFlow's ambassador in Ukraine, also took part in the discussions and shared her personal experience of using EcoFlow solutions in her own home:

"Our house is a real energy-independent fortress, made possible by EcoFlow solutions. From 5 May to 2 October this year, thanks to the EcoFlow Power Kit and solar panels, our family did not use centralized electricity at all. Our house and electric car were powered exclusively by solar energy. The brand's solutions allow us to avoid any interruptions in power supply, guaranteeing our family complete energy comfort and independence. Even now, when the daylight hours are much shorter, we charge our Power Kit at a reduced nighttime rate from the grid and use this energy during the day for our needs, which helps us save even more money."

When assessing the portable energy market share, the EcoFlow brand accounts for more than 50% of total sales in the largest retail chains. Sergiy Malykyi, Head of Sales at Robotics Distribution (DroneUA Group), said:

"Evaluating the achievements of the EcoFlow brand in Ukraine over the past two years, we can safely say that we have created the equivalent of a whole power plant, as our total power capacity is more than 300 MW. This is a great impetus and motivation for us to grow further, providing Ukrainians with all possible solutions that make life easier and allow them to stay connected to electricity even in the most difficult times. Despite the variety of brands offering energy solutions, EcoFlow has become the epitome of energy independence, undoubtedly leading the portable energy market."

The event continued with the presentation of the brand's latest products, which have become a global sensation. In particular, EcoFlow Ukraine experts presented:

  • A series of portable solutions: EcoFlow RIVER 3 and EcoFlow DELTA 3
  • EcoFlow RAPID magnetic power banks
  • An updated stationary energy independence system, the EcoFlow PowerOcean Plus
  • The most powerful portable charging station, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3

The event concluded with the awarding of EcoFlow partners in various categories for their active participation in integrating the brand's solutions into the domestic energy sector and the lives of users.

    • ROZETKA online store and marketplace: "Internet Revolutionary: The Most Powerful Online Promotion of the EcoFlow Brand."
    • COMFY chain of stores: "Leader of Responsible Solutions."
    • Energy company YASNO: "Energy Reliability of the Year: Leader in the Supply of Light."
    • Naftogaz of Ukraine: "Energy Hope of the Country: Leader in the Supply of Energy Resources."
    • Tesvit: "Leader in the World of Integration Solutions."
    • Epicentr, a national chain of shopping centres: "Innovative Retail Space."

    • All-Ukrainian chain of Citrus stores: "Technologies for Everyone."
    • STORGOM online store: "Technology in Every Punch."
    • Viatec: "Safe Future Together."

Three years of EcoFlow's leadership in the Ukrainian market and a wide network of partners across the country demonstrate the high level of consumer confidence based on the effectiveness of solutions that ensure the energy comfort of Ukrainians in the most severe and unpredictable conditions.

Thanks to the International Exhibition Centre for its assistance in organising the event. Special thanks to the partner companies for their fruitful cooperation, through which we are together leading the country towards energy autonomy despite all challenges, and to the guests of the event for their active participation in the discussions that made EcoFlow Energy DAY 2024 special.
