We are expanding our manufacturing facilities and seeking a specialist, a Lead Quality Engineer, to lay the foundation for establishing quality control workflows from the ground up. This role is created for someone who understands manufacturing environments and knows how to set rigorous quality standards and collaborative workflows. Upon stabilizing key processes and expanding the team, this role offers a transition into a Department Head position.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing an incoming inspection system for materials and components;
- Developing and implementing operational checklists, standard operating procedures, and quality control guidelines;
- Monitoring adherence to standards across core operations: welding, mechanical assembly, electronic component installation, and final product testing;
- Logging defects, maintaining quality records, analyzing root causes of failures, and engineering solutions to eliminate them;
- Working closely with supervisors and assembly technicians, introducing routine drawing and measurement inspections.
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience in manufacturing (machinery, metalworking, instrumentation, or electronics) as a Quality Engineer or QC Inspector;
- Proficiency in engineering drawings and technical documentation, hands-on experience with precision measurement tools, and solid knowledge of fits and tolerances;
- Practical understanding of welding processes, mechanical assembly, and basic electronics.
