On August 28, 2018, the How to Export forum was held at America House. An event that brought together more than a hundred young Ukrainian entrepreneurs who are starting to export their business to international markets.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian company DroneUA, with the support of America House Kyiv, the US Embassy in Ukraine, the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
The forum was opened by Tatiana Strelchenko, representative of America House Kyiv, and Douglas Oneal, Deputy Counselor for Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Ukraine. Oksana Semenishin, coordinator of the Open World program, gave a welcoming speech and spoke about starting opportunities for aspiring businessmen.
Valery Yakovenko, co-founder of the DroneUA company, shared his experience in exporting “brains,” that is, high-tech products and services on the international market. The nuances of working in the foreign market, organizing and planning a company’s business scheme, as well as the basics of the taxation system and the risks awaiting a beginning entrepreneur – We talked about everything during the event.
Visitors to the event also listened to Sergei Denisenko, founder and CEO of the DelFast company. Revealed the issue of building a pilot business project; nuances and features of the international market: how to choose the right market for export, problems and their solutions at the initial stages of planning and implementation of exports. I paid special attention to the Chinese market – as the selected target market for export.
Alexander Nesterenko, CEO of ARTKB, told how to create an exclusive product that will be in demand and generate income on the foreign market. At the forum, we talked with guests about the preparation of design documentation and the production of a functional prototype, calculation of production economics, quality control and logistics.
