The fruitful collaboration between agricultural machinery distributors and leading Ukrainian agroholdings is an opportunity for the most effective testing and refinement of technologies, gaining real field experience, and verifying the characteristics declared by the manufacturer.
As part of the long-term cooperation with the MHP company, which began in 2015, DroneUA conducted testing of ultra-low volume spraying technology using the most productive agricultural drone in Europe, the XAG P100 Pro, on maize crops.
DroneUA's collaboration with MHP, which started with projects on evaluating the quality of planting work, creating relief maps for setting up and programming planters, has continued with the application of innovative robotic technologies for crop protection and nutrition.
As a result of testing the ultra-low volume spraying technology in one of the MHP divisions, which took place in several stages, actual pesticide application was carried out on crops of maize, winter wheat, and winter rapeseed, covering a total area of up to 150 hectares in the Kyiv region.
The new generation agricultural drone, XAG P100 Pro, demonstrated precise spraying of the substance, as well as a high level of automation in the workflow. The model confirmed the possibility of effective operation with an increased rate of output and achieved an average productivity of 23.75 ha/hour, despite complex field configurations and the presence of obstacles.
Consequently, the productivity of the agricultural drone during a working shift (10 hours) amounts to about 250 hectares, allowing drone sprayers to compete with traditional wheeled machinery and enhance the technological capabilities of Ukrainian agricultural producers without losing in the number of hectares treated.
