In order to strengthen the innovative development of the horticulture and fruit and vegetable industries of Ukraine, DroneUA joined the branch association "Ukrsadprom". Within the framework of the associate membership, the DroneUA group of companies will actively work on the formation of an information platform to increase the understanding of the effectiveness of the implementation of robotic technologies, calculation of cost, benefits, savings and other opportunities.
As 2021 showed, the penetration of digital solutions, including the use of robotics, in the technological processes of producers of fruit and vegetable products, niche crops, nurseries, in comparison with traditional industries, remains very low. This season, fruit and berry plantations accounted for less than 2% of the entire area treated by spraying drones. This is despite the fact that the market demand for the application of fertilizers and PPE by drones has increased many times in 2021. At the same time, the use of fuel by drones per hectare of cultivated area decreased by 20 times.
The lack of interest on the part of small and niche manufacturers is primarily due to a lack of technological knowledge about how innovations work. Therefore, in the coming years, the DroneUA group of companies sets itself the goal of transferring the acquired expertise and experience of implementing innovative solutions from the level of powerful agribusinesses to the scale of fruit and vegetable producers.
