During July, DroneUA monitoring systems recorded 3,734 detections of drones in Kyiv.
In the course of work to ensure the safety of the Kiev heliport Kyiv Challenge, round-the-clock monitoring of drone activity in the center of Kiev is carried out with analysis of the UKIH RPAS-P zone and UKP24, which affects the Pechersky, Goloseevsky, Darnytsky and Dnieper districts.
During July, from the 1st to the 31st, 3,734 drone detections were recorded, which corresponds to 876 unique device serial numbers. Each drone was spotted an average of 4.26 times.
During 1,477 detections, the maximum flight altitude of drones exceeded 120 meters, which is 49.5% of the total number of recorded flights.
During 354 detections, the maximum flight altitude of drones exceeded 300 meters, which is 9.48% of the total number of recorded flights.
The most popular drones in use are the Mavic Mini, Mavic Air 2, Mavic 2 and Mavic Air, with take-off weights ranging from 249 to 907 grams.
The most popular time for drone flights is from 5 pm to 10 pm
In July, the number of recorded drone flights remained at the same level compared to June 2020.
To ensure the security of the Kyiv Challange heliport and round-the-clock monitoring of drone activity in the center of Kyiv, Aeroscope equipment from DroneUA was used. The system allows you to track up to 90% of consumer and industrial drones.
