The DroneUA company conducted drone operator training for teachers of the Glukhiv Agricultural Technical Vocational College of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Recently, a new educational discipline "Digitalization of agricultural production" was developed on the basis of the educational institution, one of the sections of which is the study and application of agricultural drones. In order to delve deeper into the topic and master the practical skills of managing agricultural drones, the management of the university turned to DroneUA.
From November 8 to 11, on the territory of the International Center for Precision Agriculture AgriLab, four teachers of the Glukhiv Agricultural Technical College took the course "Drone Operator" organized by DroneUA. Professional pilots of the DroneUA company conducted theoretical and practical classes on piloting drones. Previously, DroneUA has repeatedly held training courses on drone control. Among those willing to study were not only drone owners, but also state structures and higher educational institutions. Students of NUBiP had the opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge, where in the summer of 2022 the XAG Innovation Academy was created at one of the departments. This time, teachers took the initiative to learn a new profession. Before starting to teach a new discipline, they decided to first learn new skills themselves and fully understand the subject, and then share the acquired knowledge with others.
During the three-day intensive training, the course participants were familiarized with the rules for the maintenance of the spraying drone before and after the start of application. As part of the course, special attention was paid to connecting the agrodrone to the local network terminal (LNT) and its connection. LNT provides stable communication channels for fully autonomous operation of devices. The signal connects remote controls, portable RTK base stations and XAG agricultural drones. This is the solution you need for stable, safe and high-precision flight.
After the theoretical classes, the course participants went on to practice manipulations in the open area. In particular, they were able to independently measure the contours of the field for work and build a route for the mission. Only after detailed preparation, each of the trainees conducted an independent launch of the agrodrone and practiced application using various methods.
After completing the course, the learners received the appropriate "Agrodrone Operator" certificates. The acquired knowledge will help teachers to correctly build a teaching program, share the acquired practical and theoretical skills, and train highly qualified specialists.

The training of highly qualified specialists is the most important mission of DroneUA for the coming years. We are open to new joint projects and proposals with educational institutions, and are ready to integrate our professional experience into agribusiness of Ukraine, for its development and further presentation on the world arena of innovations.
